From September to the beginning of December, I was learning how to make puppet heads from latex which involved making the design from clay and then creating a mould. I was also learning how to make papier-mache masks influenced by the methods used for Commedia dell'arte masks. During this time, I also fulfilled a wish to learn some tailoring techniques by making a waistcoat. I am currently making a Victorian costume for a female puppet, which I was asked to do for a Third Year Animation student's short stop-motion film.
